Chicken run

This week has seen a spate of programmes in Britain looking at food production and in particular the poor old broiler bird. Our food heroes, Messrs Oliver and Fearnly Whittingstall are doing a great job of bringing the issues into focus. The good news is that caged birds look set to be phased out by 2012.
